The 60th edition of the Patron Saint Festivities of San Fernando promises a vibrant celebration of culture, history, and community, as announced by Yilenia Vega, Councilor for Festivities and Events of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, during a press conference alongside Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérez.
A Celebration of Tradition and Community
The festivities will kick off on Thursday, May 22 at 8:30 p.m. in the Plaza de San Fernando, with the traditional opening speech (Pregón) by beloved local brothers, Roque and Andrés. Known for opening the first "Aceite y Vinagre" store in the area, their family business played a key role in the community's early days, providing not just essential goods but also a space for social connection.
Music and Youth Energy
The excitement continues on Friday, May 23 with the Magua Fest, starting at 9:00 p.m., featuring performances by popular urban artists like NICKZZY, Wos Las Palmas, and Killian Viera. Meanwhile, the Plaza del Poblado will host the traditional Masparranda, a lively gathering filled with local food, drinks, and folk music.
A Weekend of Tradition and Celebration
On Saturday, May 24, the streets will come alive with the Romería-Ofrenda to San Fernando, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This year's procession will follow a new route, celebrating the area's deep-rooted traditions. The evening will culminate in a major concert by international artist Edwin Rivera at 11:00 p.m., followed by a late-night dance party with Orquesta La Sabrosa and DJ Yunes.
The Gala for the Election of the Junior and Youth Queens will take place on Sunday, May 25, alongside a full day of family-friendly activities, including inflatable castles and interactive games for children.

Grand Finale on Canary Islands Day
The celebrations will peak on Friday, May 30 – Día de Canarias – with traditional games, a Fish BBQ, and the IX Umiaya Folklore Festival, celebrating the rich musical heritage of the Canary Islands.
A Festive Farewell
The festivities will draw to a close on Sunday, June 1, with a final concert by Ángel López at 9:00 p.m., bringing the curtain down on over a week of music, dance, tradition, and community spirit.
