Try new restaurants and taste the local tapas in Tenerife

November is gastronomy month in Adeje, so the Adeje Tapas Route is back with a new edition.

This year, for the first time, Adeje is also taking part in the “Ruta del Buen Pan de Canarias” part of a Spain-wide event to find the best bread maker in the country. Here the competition will be held on Wednesday 3rd of November from 10 am to 1 pm, in the CDTCA (Centro de Desarrollo Turístico Costa Adeje).

Adeje Tapas Route 2021 (Ruta de la Tapa): 26 November - 8 December 2021

  • When: 26 November - 8 December 2021
  • Schedule: See here the schedule of events

Adeje Tapas Route will run from November 26th to December 8th 2021. To take part in the activities planned for the month you can go online at www.adeje.es, and register for the events that interest you.

They will also be listed in English this week on the Adeje Town Hall page. All events will operate with limited capacity and will have health and safety measures in place determined by the current regulations as laid out by the regional government and depending on what phase Tenerife is in at the time.

There will be many events for the public and a programme for young people too. On Saturday, November 13th, 6 to 10-year-olds can enjoy a chocolate and Christmas biscuit workshop; on Saturday, November 27th kids between 11 to 18 years olds will be able to participate in an event dedicated to making seasonal sweets.  These and other activities will take place in the CDTCA with a choice of two sessions per workshop.

DEGUSTA.ME (Taste me) travels to different parts of Adeje this year.

On 11th November at 7.30 pm there will be a Christmas biscuit workshop in the Tijoco-La Hoya cultural centre.

On November 18th at 5 pm in Fañabe, it’s about Christmas starters, and in Las Nieves, on the 25th of November at 5 pm, you can learn all about Christmas menus, while in the Armeñime cultural centre on December 2nd participants will be making Roscón de Reyes.

This culinary event in Adeje is meant to promote local restaurants and to support the local economy, in the hope that visitors will want to try some new places, which offer great Canarian cuisine and an interesting variety of tapas.

More details and news regarding the participating establishments will be announced closer to the date of the event.
