Aemet issued a wind alert for all the Canary Islands this Sunday

Aemet (The Meteorological State Agency) has issued an alert due to strong winds in El Hierro, La Gomera and the summits of La Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria from 00:00 on Sunday, February  27th.

La Gomera and El Hierro are on an orange alert (major risk), while the rest of the Canary Islands archipelago is placed on a yellow warning alert due to wind and coastal phenomena throughout the day on February 27.

Maximum wind gusts could reach 90 kilometers per hour on the summits of the western islands in the archipelago and also in Gran Canaria.
