Aemet has extended the alert for strong winds in the Canary Islands archipelago with gusts of up to 90 km/h announced on the summits of the mountainous islands.
The weather on Monday will be characterized by very strong gusts on the summits, east and northwest slopes of the mountainous islands, as well as in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, where they will reach 70 km/h, and even 90 km/h in El Hierro and La Gomera, mainly in high altitude areas.
The alert for strong winds will end at 18:00 h in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and it will stay in place on the rest of the Canary Islands until the end of the day.
The weather will be cloudy in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, with low chances of weak rains in the north.
The weather will also be cloudy with a probability of light rains in the north of the mountainous islands.
The minimum temperatures will stay mostly the same, while maximum temperatures will be slightly rising.
