Calima and a rise in temperatures until Thursday in the Canary Islands

The calima is returning to the Canary Islands from Tuesday ans is expected to affect the archipelago at least until Thursday, with a rise in temperatures also expected.

Tuesday forecast - June 7

The morning will be a bit cloudy and the calima will start to make its presence felt especially in the eastern islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. 

The sand dust will be suspended at high levels, especially over the eastern islands.

Temperatures will rise moderately, especially when it comes to the maximums during the daytime in the interior parts of the islands.

Temperatures:

  • Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: min 19°C max 24°C
  • Santa Cruz de Tenerife: min 20°C max 26°C

Wednesday forecast - June 8

The weather will be somewhat cloudy in the north of the islands in the morning and also late in the evening.

The calima will be predominant, especially over the eastern islands in the archipelago.

Minimum temperatures will be rising slightly, while the wind will remain moderate. 

Temperatures:

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: min 19°C max 245°C
Santa Cruz de Tenerife: min 21°C max 27°C
