The Canary Islands will experience a shift in weather this Thursday as a Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos (DANA) moves in from the west, bringing increased cloud cover and scattered rain, according to Spain’s meteorological agency, Aemet.

Western islands will see the most significant effects. Tenerife will have cloudy skies, especially in the north, with light rain in the afternoon. La Palma and El Hierro will also see cloud cover and possible moderate showers. Temperatures will remain stable, with highs around 23°C in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 20°C in La Palma.

Gran Canaria will have cloudy skies in the north with occasional drizzle, while Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will stay mostly clear with slight temperature increases. A light calima (dust haze) may arrive at night.

Winds will be light to moderate from the northeast, stronger in exposed areas, with rough seas and waves up to two meters.
