A 40-year-old man of Polish nationality lost his life his Sunday after suffering a bicycle accident on the TF-21 road, in the municipality of Adeje, Tenerife, in the area known as Boca Tauce, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident occurred around 7:15 PM when the 1-1-2 operations center received an alert about a cyclist who had fallen on the mentioned road. Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
Environmental teams from the Cabildo were the first to arrive at the scene and provided initial assistance to the injured man. They followed the instructions of the SUC doctor present in the operations center until the arrival of the SUC's medical helicopter.
Members of the Guardia Civil and the Canary Police assisted in securing the landing area for the helicopter and blocking the road. The SUC ambulance dispatched a medical team from a health center to the area. Upon arrival, the medical personnel from the helicopter confirmed that the man was in cardiac arrest. They performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, but unfortunately, they were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead.
