Cyclist in critical condition after fall in Maspalomas

A 55-year-old cyclist is in critical condition after suffering a fall on Avenida Touroperador Tui in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Gran Canaria.

The accident occurred on Thursday at 8:39 p.m., according to the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Center (112 Canarias).

Emergency services, including personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), arrived at the scene and assessed the cyclist's condition. Upon initial evaluation, the man was found to have sustained a severe head injury. Due to the severity of his condition, he was transported in a medicalized ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Insular de Gran Canaria, where he remains in critical condition.

Local police officers were also present at the scene, assisting emergency responders in managing the situation.
