On Sunday, June 23, the traditional Night of San Juan (Noche de San Juan) will take place on Mogán beach.
The evening, considered one of the magical of the year, will be organized by the Mogán City Council with a popular pineapple barbecue, a dance show, a large bonfire, a fireworks display, a festival with the Arena Group and music by the DJ Aitor Cruz.
Playa de Mogán will once again be a reference point for people who want to celebrate San Juan's Eve with rites for prosperity and good luck, and also enjoy the activities programmed by the Town Hall, which will start at 9:00 p.m.
In the area of 'La Puntilla' the popular pineapple barbecue will take place and, in parallel, the Mogán Dance Area will offer a show from the sand pit itself, dancing to the sound of songs with references to this festival, its magic and mysticism. Next there will be music with DJ Aitor Cruz and the great bonfire of San Juan will be lit, which will precede the fireworks display. The party will continue with the Arena Group and the DJ.
This seaside neighborhood thus continues its close connection to the festival. The neighbors pay devotion to San Juan, whose image is in the Hermitage of San Fernando in the town.
Organizing bonfires or similar fires is prohibited on the eve of Saint John and Saint Peter.
The only bonfire that is allowed is the one organized by the Consistory in the vicinity of Mogán beach with the corresponding and mandatory security measures, with the presence of emergency means and resources.
