The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued yellow warnings for wind, rough seas, and high temperatures throughout the Canary Islands, with the exception of Fuerteventura.

These warnings are set to begin on Wednesday and will remain in effect at least until Thursday.

From midday on Wednesday, gusts of wind up to 80 kilometers per hour are expected due to the trade wind. This will affect the southeast and northwest slopes of Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, La Gomera, El Hierro, and La Palma, including the municipality of El Paso.

Additionally, yellow warnings for rough seas have been issued for the east, south, and west coasts of Gran Canaria and Tenerife, as well as for El Hierro and La Gomera.

Starting Thursday, high temperatures are also expected in the archipelago. Aemet forecasts temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius in Gran Canaria and Tenerife, particularly affecting mid-mountain areas. In southern Gran Canaria, temperatures could climb to 37 degrees Celsius, prompting a red warning in that area.
