fuerteventura emergency rescue

On the evening of August 28, 2024, around 9:05 PM, a traffic accident occurred on the FV-2 highway near the municipality of Antigua in Fuerteventura. The incident involved a frontal-lateral collision between two vehicles.

Emergency services quickly responded to the scene after the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert about the crash.

The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) provided medical assistance to four individuals—two men and two women—who sustained moderate injuries. All four victims suffered from cervical pain and were transported to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura Virgen de la Peña in a basic life support ambulance.

In addition to the SUC, other emergency teams from Fuerteventura were involved in managing the incident, while the local police and the Civil Guard helped control traffic and documented the accident.
