Fuerteventura Airport had to close temporarily on Saturday due to drone presence

On Saturday around midday, authorities had to temporarily shut down Fuerteventura Airport for at least 40 minutes due to the presence of a drone in the vicinity.

As a result, a flight from Madrid had to be diverted to Lanzarote Airport. Additionally, up to 15 flights experienced delays in their departures.

According to a post from the Air Traffic Controllers' account on X, normal operations at the airport were quickly restored.
