Fuerteventura Tourism is attending the IFTM Top Resa (a major B2B travel event) in Paris this week to promote the island of Fuerteventura on the French market, where the director of the area, Jessica de León, has met with the main tour operators and travel agents in the country.

The main objective of the meetings is to follow up on the different co-marketing collaboration agreements that are in force and that include three operators, as well as airlines and OTAS that work to promote the market.

During the course of the meetings, the Minister of Tourism, Jessica de León, together with the promoter of the Spanish Tourist Office in France, Tabatha Domínguez, established various contacts that may allow that "in the coming months we will close agreements to continue promoting Fuerteventura on the French market", a market that continues to grow in terms of tourism. De León recalled that "we are close to the figures for 2019 during this summer and for the winter a growth of 49.6% in air connectivity is expected".

The IFTM Top Resa, which began yesterday, Tuesday, September 20, and will continue until tomorrow, Thursday 22, has been a success in terms of attendance.

Both professionals and the general public show interest in the Fuerteventura destination. In addition, as a complement to this fair, the Tourist Board plans to hold professional conferences to show to French tour operators and travel agents what Fuerteventura has to offer in terms of tourism. The island's tourism sector will attend these conferences, which will also take place in Paris, to make the Majorero destination more well-known to French professionals.
