Fuerteventura Windsurfing World Championship 2021

The 2020 edition of the Fuerteventura Windsurfing & Kitesurfing Championship was cancelled due to the pandemic, and the event was postponed for a future date in 2021.

The government group of Pájara announced last year that the 35th edition of the 'Windsurfing and Kitesurfing Championship of Fuerteventura 2020' was cancelled, which was supposed to be held between July 17 and August 1 in the south of the island.

The celebration of the 35th edition of the World Cup Surfing Championship was postponed for 2021, which should take place in Fuerteventura, on the famous Sotavento beach.

Playa Barca, part of Sotavento, is considered the perfect windsurfing spot in Fuerteventura. It is located only 200 m away from the Hotel Melia Gorriones and directly at the tidal lagoon where the World Cup takes place.

Rene Egli is the company that organizes the event in Fuerteventura each year and the complete program includes parties in the evenings and events suitable for the entire family.

The dates for the 2021 Fuerteventura Windsurfing World Championship have not been announced yet.
