Heavy rain causes floods in south of Tenerife, while Tacoronte is hit by strong hail

The weather has been really crazy today in the Canary Islands, with a mix of calima, hail, heavy rain and snow, happening in different areas of the archipelago at different moments of the day, showing once again how different the microclimates can be. 

As announced, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, but also Gran Canaria and parts of Tenerife, have felt the presence of the calima this Friday, January 28th, while the snow continued in Teide National Park. 

Other notable meteorological phenomena that happened today include a downpour in the south of Tenerife, specifically in the area of Palm-Mar, where it caused severe floodings as you can see in the videos below.
