The Cabildo de Lanzarote, through the Society for Foreign Promotion of Lanzarote (SPEL), has announced that they will intensify the promotional activity for the island for the upcoming summer season with actions that will be carried out over the coming weeks.
The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote and Minister of Tourism, María Dolores Corujo, explains that these actions are intended to reactivate the promotional activity of the island. “After the improvement of the pandemic situation and the greater control we have of it, it is necessary to launch actions that help the recovery of the tourism sector”, says the president.
SPEL representatives will promote Lanzarote as a tourist destination in countries such as Germany, Poland, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, France and Portugal. They will attend fairs and tourist conventions and will provide assistance for tour operators and travel agencies in order to show more accurately how is the experience of visiting the island.
Likewise, the Lanzarote Foreign Promotion Society will participate in tourist events such as Ferie for Alle (Denmark), NAVARTUR (Spain), Utazas (Hungary), the XIII International Tourism and Leisure Fair Wroclaw (Poland), BTL (Portugal), ITB DIGITAL Business Day (Germany), Salon Mondial du Tourisme (France) or BMT Naples (Italy).
In January 2022 Lanzarote received around 135,000 tourists, most of them coming from abroad, which represents a huge improvement compared to the same month of the year 2021.
