The council of Tias, where Puerto del Carmen is located, usually organizes a celebration for St. Patrick's Day in Puerto del Carmen every year and it's a great event that draws a lot of crowds. The resort has celebrated this day every year and everything is organized with the help of the Irish community in Lanzarote.

There are carnivals in Lanzarote in all the resorts and also in Arrecife, the island's capital, so the festival in Haria is not as huge and impressive in numbers compared to these larger ones.

The 2023 edition of the carnival in Teguise will be celebrated under the theme "El Mundo Animado", with events organized throughout the municipality, in La Villa de Teguise, Costa Teguise, as well as La Graciosa.

Carnival season is a popular time for the Canary Islands in general - all the islands have big parties during this time and it's a great atmosphere for tourists.

Throughout the month of October, Puerto del Carmen will be the scene of the Sunset Festival, with more than ten free performances by several artists, while the main headliner will be the popular group La Oreja de Van Gogh.

Open Mall Lanzarote, which is set to become the largest open-air leisure and shopping center on the island, will open its doors to the public on November 11, after a long waiting period.

Puerto del Carmen is the most popular resort in Lanzarote and it has an ideal location, in the center of the island, very close to the airport. The town is divided in two: the old town and harbor and the new town. This makes Puerto del Carmen a place with lots of opportunities for activities during the day, lots of restaurants and also plenty of bars and club open all night long.

September is our favorite month to visit Lanzarote. The weather in September is still hot, but not quite as hot as in August. Also, after the first week of September passes the big summer crowds start to disappear, as schools start the new year all across Europe. Just don't imagine that you'll have the island all to yourself since Lanzarote is a year-round destination, and it's lively and busy even in winter.

The Town Council of Tías announced the celebration of the Summer Craft Show in Puerto del Carmen, which will take place from August 25 to 28, from 6 to 10 p.m., with the participation of 45 artisans.
