Arona City Council has completed the refurbishment work on a complete toilet for Los Cristianos beach, with a bathroom for women, men and people with reduced mobility.
In this way, this coastal area already has two services with the same characteristics, which are added to the one that was put into operation in Playa Honda, as well as the shaded area of Los Cristianos and the assisted bathing service on the beach, which includes Las Vistas, Los Cristianos and Las Galletas.
Since August 2, a new beach toilet in Los Cristianos has been in operation, located in front of La Alpispa square, which has a toilet for women, men and people with reduced mobility, as well as a space enabled for rescue service.
This beach had only one bathroom, located in this same area, together with the rescue service module, which was deteriorated.
In recent weeks, the refurbishment work around the bathrooms, repair of border walls, placement of platforms, as well as providing water supply and electricity supply for them, have been completed.
After the opening of these new toilets, Los Cristianos beach has two toilets, both adapted for people with reduced mobility, as well as a shaded area, with a 60 square meter pergola.
Recently, in the month of July, the new toilets and showers at Playa Honda also came into operation.
In this way, in recent months, and in addition to the bathrooms and the shaded area, the showers in Playa Honda have come into service, as well as the rescue area in Palm Mar and the assisted bathrooms for people with reduced mobility in Las Galletas and in Los Cristianos.
