Man found dead on a beach in Fuerteventura

This morning at 9:20 AM, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands received multiple calls reporting the discovery of a person lying face down on the shore of a beach in Corralejo.

Emergency services were immediately mobilized in response to the alerts. Upon arrival at the scene, medical personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and the Corralejo Health Center assessed the situation and confirmed that the individual was deceased. The identity of the deceased remains unknown at this time.

The Civil Guard has initiated an investigation and is overseeing the handling of the body until judicial authorities arrive. Local police also assisted in coordinating the emergency response.
