The countdown is on for the highly anticipated Gran Cabalgata of the Maspalomas International Carnival 2025, as the final lineup of 100 spectacular floats has been confirmed.
Following a rigorous selection process, the floats will take to the streets on Saturday, March 29, bringing vibrant colors, music, and Mexican-inspired themes to one of the biggest celebrations of the year.
This year’s parade, themed ‘Amor a la Mexicana,’ will see more than 60 floats embracing the rich cultural heritage of Mexico. “We wanted to elevate the visual appeal of the parade, and this year’s theme will add an extra layer of magic,” said Yilenia Vega, Councilor for Festivals and Events.
With over 300,000 spectators expected, ensuring quality and safety was a top priority. The selection process saw 125 applicants reduced to 100, in line with security regulations. Authorities emphasized not just technical compliance but also aesthetic standards, ensuring a more polished and visually stunning event.
First Deputy Mayor Alejandro Marichal highlighted the importance of continuous innovation: “Maspalomas Carnival is a major tourism attraction, and we must evolve with the times to maintain its prestige. This year, we’re enhancing both the experience and the international appeal.”
As the city gears up for a grand spectacle from March 18-30, all eyes are set on what promises to be the most dazzling edition yet of the Maspalomas Carnival.
