What will your costume be at the next edition of the carnival in Maspalomas?

In normal times, if you were to be in the area of Maspalomas sometime around February or March, we would recommend you to join the fun in the International Carnival of Maspalomas.

But in 2022, the dates of the carnival had to be postponed until summer, when hopefully the situation with the pandemic will be improved and the celebrations will be able to take place.

Maspalomas Carnival 2022: 9 - 19 June 2022

The 2022 carnival in Maspalomas (San Bartolomé de Tirajana municipality) has been postponed until the month of June, between the dates of 9 and 19th, due to the Covid situation in the Canary Islands at the beginning of the year.

If the situation will allow it, there will also be a big parade, but this depends on how the Covid-19 pandemic will evolve until June.

The theme for the Maspalomas carnival in 2022 will be Magic, which is a theme that will bring out the creativity and the fantasy in a lot of the participants, who have had a lot of time to prepare their costumes.

In case you won't bring any special costume with you on holiday, you will be able to find something suitable in one of the Chinese shops or even in some of the big supermarkets.
