This is one of the magical attractions of Tenerife during the winter months: you can enjoy the sunny weather in the South, while admiring the impressive silhouette of snow-covered Mt. Teide in the distance.
These last few days have been slightly colder and have brought some much-needed rain and also snow in the Canary Islands, on the islands of Tenerife and La Palma, at altitudes of over 2,000 m.
According to Aemet, it could still snow this Monday on both Tenerife and La Palma, while some other areas in the Canaries might get occasional rains, especially the islands in the west of the archipelago.
As usual, on days when Teide wakes up showing its white mantle, the social media networks are inundated with photos showing the majestic silhouette of Spain's highest peak covered in snow.
