As of Monday, February 3, new regulations for accessing Roque Nublo have come into force.
Visitors planning to hike the trail to Roque Nublo between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM must now reserve a free permit through the official website www.grancanariasenderos.com. However, those arriving outside these hours or connecting from other trails in the network do not need a reservation.
To facilitate parking and reduce congestion, two designated parking areas have been established: one at Cruz de los Llanos and another in the town center of Tejeda. Both locations are conveniently located near bus stops, where visitors can take the dedicated Global Line 18 shuttle service. This circular route departs from Tejeda, stopping at Cruz de Tejeda, Degollada de Becerra, Cruz de los Llanos, and Ayacata before reaching Roque Nublo.
Officials emphasize that these measures are essential for ensuring a sustainable and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Additionally, by regulating traffic and offering alternative parking solutions, safety in the area—previously a growing concern—is expected to improve significantly.
Authorities will continuously evaluate the impact of these changes and make necessary adjustments based on their effectiveness. The goal is to enhance visitor mobility while preserving the natural beauty of Gran Canaria’s iconic landmark.
