The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued, this Saturday, a new warning for accumulated precipitation on the islands of La Palma, Tenerife (during tomorrow, Sunday, April 3) and Lanzarote (where it will be in force from Sunday at 9:00 p.m. until Monday at 4:00 a.m.).

According to Aemet's alert, in Lanzarote, La Palma and Tenerife potential accumulation of 15 liters of water per square meter in one hour is expected.

Sunday weather forecast

On the mountainous islands, the sky will be cloudy, with weak to moderate precipitation expected, which will be persistent and widespread on the western and southwestern slopes.

There's a probability for locally strong rains n La Palma, as well as in Lanzarote and the north of Fuerteventura in some areas.

The intense rain is also expected in Tenerife, where, just like in La Palma, the wind may exceed speeds of 90 km/h in high areas.
