Pájara hosts the 3rd Cheese Fair and the 1st Olive Oil Fair this weekend
The Pájara Town Council is organising the third edition of the Cheese Fair and, for the first time in the municipality, the Olive Oil Fair. The events will take place on 22 and 23 November, to help promote the local economy and its products.
The Councillor for Primary Sector, Jose Manuel Díaz, emphasises that these meetings include talks on the agri-food sector, tastings, workshops and performances, among others, in their programmes, which promote knowledge and consumption of local products.
For his part, the mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, highlights that this type of action "underpins the quality of the municipality's native products, which are the result of the effort and work carried out by our primary sector."

Programming
The events will begin this Friday, November 22, at 6:30 p.m., with an opening and, later, with a brief introduction on the sensorial analysis of Majorero cheese tasting, given by the DO technician of the Fuerteventura Regulatory Council. At 9:00 p.m. participants can enjoy the performance of Miss Music Band.
On Saturday, November 23, at 12:00, the Majorero Cheese Competition will be held with a DO jury. The prizes will be awarded at 14:00. At 13:00, there will be a show cooking with Lorena Placeres and a tapa tasting afterwards.
In addition, at 5:00 p.m., there will be a cheese-making workshop, given by Quesería Caprarius. At 6:00 p.m., the public will be able to enjoy the Tuna de Distrito from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and, at 7:00 p.m., a tasting of Fuerteventura wines with the teacher Santiago Garabote. The event will end at 9:00 p.m. with a performance by La Trova.
