The Pájara Town Hall, through its Department of Beaches, has taken another step in its commitment to environmental excellence and beach quality by installing nine new information panels across its Blue Flag-designated beaches. This initiative aims to enhance environmental standards, public safety, and visitor experience, with a total investment of €29,700.
The new panels have been installed at Morro Jable, Buthiondo, Matorral, and Costa Calma beaches. They align with Blue Flag program requirements, ensuring that visitors have access to essential information on environmental awareness campaigns, emergency contact numbers, and maps highlighting key locations. The panels also display pictograms indicating beach regulations, prohibited activities, and available amenities such as shaded areas, restrooms, and accessibility points for individuals with reduced mobility.
Raimundo Dacosta, Councilor for Beaches, emphasized the government's commitment to continuous beach improvements. "This is another step towards sustainability, safety, and the overall quality of our public spaces. Our beaches are not only a major tourist attraction but also a cherished space for our residents," he stated.
Pájara remains one of the leading municipalities in the Canary Islands, proudly maintaining four Blue Flag beaches—a recognition that underscores the region’s high environmental standards and excellent services for both residents and visitors.
