Salvamento Marítimo is currently engaged in a search operation for Marek Siedlecki, a Polish sailor who went missing along with his yacht 'Nautis.'

The 'Nautis,' a 30-meter yacht flying the Polish flag, was reported missing on June 14th, one day after it departed from Gran Tarajal, Fuerteventura, heading towards Pasito Blanco, Gran Canaria.

According to sources from Salvamento Marítimo, the disappearance was reported via an emergency call received at 16:25 on June 14th. Immediately following the report, search operations commenced involving a Red Cross rescue boat and the Helimer 202 helicopter.

The initial search efforts focused on the area around Pasito Blanco and the eastern and southeastern parts of the island. These efforts extended into the following day, June 15th, with continued searches to the south of Fuerteventura using the same resources.

On Sunday, an Air Force SAR aircraft joined the search mission, but despite these extensive efforts, no trace of the 'Nautis' has been found. Salvamento Marítimo has issued alerts to vessels navigating the area, urging them to maintain heightened vigilance. Additionally, they remain in close contact with the marinas across the Canary Islands to aid in the search.

The disappearance of Marek Siedlecki and the 'Nautis' has prompted an ongoing search effort, leveraging both sea and air resources in hopes of locating the missing sailor and his vessel.
