The Tías Town Council has announced the closure of rural roads within the municipality to quads and similar four-wheeled all-terrain vehicles. Last week, thirteen prohibition signs were installed to regulate traffic on these routes.
Municipal workers have placed signs prohibiting the circulation of quads at various locations including Barranco Negro, Vereda de Conil path, El Puerto path, the Tías-Puerto del Carmen road, Tres Peñas path, Mojón Salado path, Las Quinzuelas path, Los Pocillos path, and Peña del Asiento path.
The Tías Town Council is regulating motor vehicle traffic and road safety to protect urban and especially rural roads from the deterioration caused by quads and similar vehicles. This measure also aims to safeguard the area's landscape, environmental, and cultural elements.
