The Canary Islands are having a rainy weekend ahead, with moderate rain on Saturday, especially in various parts of La Palma, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria.
Saturday forecast - December 3
Cloudy intervals, with rainfall that could be moderate and in the form of showers on the eastern side of La Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria, more likely in the afternoon. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura could also see weak rains in the afternoon, while the temperatures will continue to decrease slightly.
The wind will be more intense in the high peaks of La Palma and Tenerife, where strong wind gusts are not ruled out.
Sunday forecast - December 4
During the first half of the day, cloudy intervals with a probability of rain in general weak or locally moderate.
During the second half of the day, the skies will tend to be cloudy over the mountainous islands with probable moderate rains, affecting especially the southwest slopes where the rain could be locally heavy in the afternoon, except in Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura and Lanzarote where only scattered rain is predicted.
The wind will intensify during the morning from moderate to strong, with very strong gusts affecting the mountainous islands, while in La Palma and Tenerife the wind speed could reach 90 km/h in some areas.
