Los Cristianos market is the largest market in the south of Tenerife where you'll find almost anything you can imagine, like clothing, souvenirs, decorative items, cosmetics and much more. Almost any town and village in Tenerife has a market where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables. But there are actually two types of markets in El Medano: the farmer's market and the weekend market with souvenirs, crafts and other types of random things to buy.

If you want to buy local fruits and vegetables in Tenerife, it is best to head to one of the farmer's markets (mercado del agricultor), where you will find locally grown produce, with much more taste than what you can find in the supermarkets.

While in Tenerife, we recommend that you try the local fruit, vegetables and produce, especially the ones that you can find in the farmers' market or agromercado / mercado del agricultor as they are called in Spanish.

A weekly market in Costa Adeje, situated across from the Gran Hotel Costa Adeje. This market is held two times each week, on Thursdays and Saturdays.
