Strong waves alert activated for Friday in the Canary Islands

Aemet has just activated an alert for coastal phenomena in the Canary Islands, which will be in place from 15:00 h on Friday, June 17, until the end of the day at midnight.

The area of the coast which will be affected by the strong waves will be the east, south and west of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, but also the coasts of El Hierro and La Gomera.

Temperatures will stay mostly the same, with almost no variations compared to the previous days.

Please be careful if going into the ocean for a swim and respect the warning flags put out on the beaches by lifeguards.
