After a long period of high temperatures and no rain, Aemet has announced rains for this weekend, especially in the north of the mountainous islands, as well as a yellow alert for strong winds in some areas of the archipelago.
Friday forecast- November 18
Cloudy intervals with a predominance of cloudy skies in the north of the mountainous islands, where rains are expected, being significant in the midlands.
Rainfall will be less likely, as well as weak and occasional in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Maximum temperatures will decrease slightly, especially in inland areas.
Occasional very strong wind gusts on the mountainous islands, as well as on exposed summits, in the last hours of the day.
Saturday forecast - November 19
Cloudy intervals with a predominance of cloudy skies in the north, and slightly cloudy skies on the southern slopes.
Probable weak rains in the north of the mountainous islands, especially in the middle of the central islands.
A yellow alert for strong winds with gusts of up to 70 km/h will be in place on Saturday on the islands of Gran Canaria (east, south, west and high peaks), La Palma (mountains peaks and west part of the island), El Hierro, La Gomera and Tenerife (east, south, west).
The yellow alert for strong winds will continue on Sunday as well.
