no curfew canary islands new years eve

The Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) has just announced that it does not authorize the curfew requested by the local Government for the NYE night, the night of 2nd of January and the Reyes night.

As we announced earlier this week, the Government of the Canary Islands had requested from the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC)  to approve the imposition of a night curfew on islands placed at levels 2 and 3 (which would include all the Canary Islands at this moment).

The Superior Court has rejected the measure arguing that the same social interactions could also take place at other hours when there is no curfew in place, or they can simply be moved to a private space.
