Temperatures set to drop in the Canary Islands over the next few days

An intrusion of strong trade winds, with a north-northeast component, will affect the Canary Islands this week, causing the temperatures to drop compared to the recent period that had brought warm days, perfect for sunbathing. 

Weather forecast - Wednesday, May 3

Intervals of high clouds in general. In the north of the mountainous islands, cloudy intervals with a low probability of some weak and occasional rain in the midland areas. Maximum temperatures are set to drop slightly, more pronounced in midlands and inland areas where it can become noticeable. Minimums in slight ascent in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and in slight descent in the rest. Light to moderate wind from the northwest that will turn north. In high areas of La Palma and Tenerife, there will be a strong southwest wind,  without ruling out very strong local gusts.

Weather forecast - Thursday, May 4

Cloudy intervals in the north of the islands this Thursday. In the rest of the areas the weather will be a little cloudy with intervals of high clouds. Temperatures in slight to moderate decrease. Moderate northeast wind with strong intervals at the end.
