Aemet has published the weather forecast for Holy Week in the Canary Islands and it seems that the weather will be stable, with cloudy skies at the beginning of the week and temperatures on the rise towards Easter weekend.
Tuesday, April 12
The sky will be mostly cloudy in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and the north of the mountainous islands of greater relief. Low probability of weak, occasional and scattered rains in the northern midlands of the islands with greater relief in the early and late hours. Temperatures with few changes in general, except for a slight increase in the minimum values in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
Wednesday, April 13
Predominance of cloudy skies in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and in the north of the mountainous islands, with clear openings in the afternoon. Probable weak and occasional rains in the north of the mountainous islands.
Strong winds in exposed areas without ruling out punctually very strong gusts during the second half of the day.
Thursday, April 14
In the north of the mountainous islands, there will be a low probability of light, occasional and scattered rains during the early morning.
In Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the morning will be cloudy and the sky will clear in the afternoon. Temperatures with few changes in general.
Weekend
Towards the weekend the temperatures will start to rise according to Aemet and on Sunday, temperatures will reach almost 30 °C in Tenerife, as well as in Gran Canaria.
In Fuerteventura, the temperature could go up to 34 °C on Easter Sunday.
