The calima will start to clear from Saturday in the Canary Islands

The Saharan dust continues to be present this Friday in the Canary Islands, being more intense in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and somewhat less notable in Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

According to Aemet's prediction, the calima should start to clear during the second half of the day on Saturday.

Saturday forecast - March 19

Cloudy intervals with the presence of high clouds, and predominantly cloudy skies during midday hours.

The Saharan dust will start to disappear from west to east during the second half of the day.

In the western islands, there will be low chances of light and occasional rains in inland areas and eastern slopes in the afternoon.

Minimum temperatures slightly dropping in the easternmost islands and slightly rising in the rest of the archipelago. The wind will be light to moderate, more intense in the afternoon with coastal breezes.
