Earlier today, Cabildo de Tenerife had announced on Twitter that a new fire broke out on the island in the area of Icod el Alto.

The forest fire was located in the municipality of Los Realejos, specifically on the Las Cabezadas road, located in the Icod el Alto area, which is close to the area of the forest fire that affected the island last month, when around 2700 hectares of vegetation were destroyed.

Cabildo de Tenerife informed that 3 helicopters and several other units were involved in extinguishing the current fire, so at 12:20 local time, the fire was declared stabilized by the authorities, having affected in total only 2 hectares of vegetation.
