The two-story Hop-on Hop-off buses in the capital of Gran Canaria will start running again from next Friday, October 15. For the first weekend, the company will offer a special discount for Canarian residents.
The tourist bus in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is run by the Spanish multinational City Sightseeing and will resume its activity from next Friday, October 15, after the service was suspended in March 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company decided to restart the bus tours now as a consequence of the cruise season that is also starting again this year, as many cruise ships are planned to visit the port of Las Palmas.
Canarian residents will be able to enjoy, during the first weekend, Saturday October 16 and Sunday, October 17, the usual tour that is offered aboard these panoramic buses at the special price of 3 euros (children under 5 years old can access for free).
The Councilor for Tourism, Pedro Quevedo, pointed out that “this is another good news for the destination Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as the city is returning to normal with the return of cruise ships and is awaiting the return of international tourists this fall and next winter ”.
The Hop-on Hop-off buses in Las Palmas will resume their activity with three vehicles, which will operate every day of the week from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm, except on cruise days, when the schedule will be increased by one hour, with the first tour starting at 9.30 am.
