Two people were injured to varying degrees on Friday afternoon after a quad bike left the road on the TF-38 in the municipality of Guía de Isora, Tenerife.

The incident occurred at around 4.33 pm on 9 January 2026, at approximately kilometre point 27 of the TF-38. The Canary Islands’ Emergency Coordination and Security Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert reporting that a quad had gone off the roadway, with one of its occupants falling down an embankment.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, including firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Consortium, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), and the Guardia Civil.

Firefighters accessed the area where the injured woman had fallen and assisted SUC personnel in providing initial care. After being rescued, she was evacuated on a spinal board to the location of the ambulance.

A 76-year-old woman sustained multiple injuries and a moderate lumbar trauma. A 68-year-old man suffered minor multiple injuries. Both were stabilised at the scene and later transferred by basic life support ambulance to Hospital Quirón Costa Adeje.

The Guardia Civil has opened an investigation and is preparing the corresponding accident report.
