On October 4, 2024, at approximately 5:17 p.m., an emergency occurred at La Guirra Beach in Caleta de Fuste, in the municipality of Antigua, Fuerteventura. A 59-year-old woman was found showing severe signs of drowning after being pulled from the water.
The Canary Islands Emergency Services (CECOES 1-1-2) immediately received an alert and activated the necessary emergency resources. The Canary Emergency Service (SUC) dispatched a medicalized ambulance to the scene.
