The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow alert for some of the Canary Islands starting from Monday evening, April 11th, warning about high waves in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The alert is valid from Monday at 6:00 pm and it covers the islands of Tenerife, La Palma and El Hierro, where strong waves up to 4 meters high are expected.
The yellow warning due to coastal phenomena will start from Monday, April 11th at 6:00 pm and is currently in place until Tuesday morning, April 12th, at 8:00 am.
The alert covers the north and the metropolitan area of Tenerife, the western part of La Palma and the entire island of El Hierro.

Weak and occasional rain is expected in the north of the mountainous islands, with minimum temperatures on the rise, except on the summits of the western islands, where they are expected to drop.
In the eastern islands of the archipelago, there will also be cloudy intervals, with a light breeze, being more intense in the afternoon, except for the summits of Tenerife, where strong wind gusts are expected.
