During the last two days, some parts of the Canary Islands have experienced a lot of (much needed) rain, as well as snow on the summits of Tenerife and La Palma, the islands with the highest altitudes in the archipelago.
As we announced yesterday, the roads leading to Teide National Park were all closed initially, but it was recently announced by the Cabildo de Tenerife that all accesses to Teide have been reopened after the roads have been cleared of snow.
Pictures of snowy Teide have been the star on social media today, as impressive images of Spain's famous volcano were shared all day, showing the giant Mt Teide covered in a pristine "white coat".
