This new evacuation is affecting around 40 to 50 new homes and there are now more than 7,000 people who had to leave their homes on La Palma due to the volcanic eruption.
The lava also continued to cause more destruction as it entered the urban area of La Laguna, from where another 1,500 people had already been evacuated. One of the lava streams already destroyed a gas station, whose fuel tanks had been emptied in order to prevent further damages.
