According to Aemet, the calima will continue to affect the Canary Islands all throughout this Wednesday and until Thursday, December 14th, when weak and occasional rains could occur towards the of the day.
We remind you that, the Government of the Canary Islands, through the General Directorate of Emergencies, has declared an alert due to calima that started this Monday and according to Aemet the calima should still be present in the archipelago until Thursday.
The concentrations of suspended dust experienced during this bad calima episode can cause health problems for people with chronic or respiratory diseases, while the visibility is reduced in some areas to 4,000-5,000 meters.
This Wednesday the skies will be slightly cloudy, while the calima is expected to continue, being present in a significant amount, especially in the eastern province, where slight increases in maximum temperatures could also be experienced.
