A 69-year-old woman lost her life this Monday in Costa Calma, on the coast of Pájara, on the island of Fuerteventura.
At 1:40 p.m. on Monday, December 11th, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert in which it was reported that a person had located the body of a woman floating in the sea in the south of Fuerteventura.
The affected person was found floating in the sea and was rescued by the emergency services, who could only confirm her death, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center.
Lifeguards from the Beach Rescue Service of the Pájara City Council moved to the area and recovered the affected woman and found that she was in cardiorespiratory arrest, so they started to perform the resuscitation maneuvers.
Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were also brought to the scene and continued practicing basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without obtaining results, confirming the death.
Agents from the Guardia Civil also arrived at the scene and took charge of the deceased woman's body until the arrival of the judicial authority.
