4-year-old child in serious condition after being rescued from a pool in Tenerife

A 4-year-old boy has been admitted in serious condition to the La Candelaria Hospital in Tenerife, after being rescued on Sunday with signs of drowning from a hotel complex swimming pool in Adeje.

At 11:50 a.m. 112 Canarias received the alert requesting medical assistance for a child who had just been taken out of a hotel pool with signs of drowning.

The lifeguard at the hotel complex began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on the minor until the arrival of resources from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, which continued with the work until he was stabilized.

The boy was transferred by ambulance to the La Candelaria Hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition.
