A 5-year-old child is in serious condition after being rescued after almost drowning from a hotel pool in Pájara, on the island of Fuerteventura, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.
The events happened on Thursday afternoon in the swimming pool of a hotel in Pajara and members of the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) arrived and provided immediate assistance to the child.
Next, after stabilizing him, they evacuated the child to the Morro Jable helipad, from where the medical helicopter took him to the Maternal and Child University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where he was admitted in serious condition.
