Flight bound for Tenerife diverted to Lanzarote due to 8 violent passengers on board

easyJet flight EZY34T, from Manchester to Tenerife South, had to be diverted to Lanzarote due to the presence of eight violent passengers on board, according to Controladores Aereos.

“Due to the possibility of an aggression taking place, the plane needed to be diverted to Lanzarote airport,” was explained on the Twitter account of Controladores Aereos. For this reason, “we instructed them to use a direct route" so that they could land as soon as possible. 

It was also confirmed that, as it is customary in these types of situations, police presence has been coordinated upon arrival in Lanzarote. “We reiterate our support for the crew and passengers who have to endure these situations,” they emphasize.
