Arguineguín is a small fishing village and now tourist town, located on the south coast of the island of Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands, Spain. It is part of the municipality of Mogán and is known for its fish market, local beaches, and beautiful weather.
The Tuesday market is the largest and most popular market in Arguineguín. It takes place every Tuesday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM in the Plaza Negra, which is the main square near the harbor.
The market sells a wide variety of goods, including fresh produce, flowers, clothing, souvenirs, handbags, and makeup.
According to the City Council of Mogan, once the partial pedestrianization works on Miguel Marrero Rodríguez de Arguineguín Street are completed, the market in Plaza Negra will move here, so that the space can be left to function as a parking lot. This way more tourists will be able to visit the market and there will be less inconvenience for residents.
This smaller market takes place every Tuesday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM in the Plaza de las Marañuelas, which is located just behind the marina and the main beach in Arguineguin, Playa Las Marañuelas. This market focuses on handicrafts, such as leather goods, ceramics, costume jewelry, and glass figurines.
