Decrease in temperatures and possible frost in Tenerife and La Palma on Tuesday

Weather prediction in the Canary Islands  - 11 January 2022

According to Aemet, this Tuesday the sky will be predominantly clear, with few cloudy intervals.

The minimum temperatures are slightly decreasing and there is a chance of frost on the summits of Tenerife and La Palma. The maximum temperatures may rise slightly in areas of high altitude compared to previous days, while remaining fairly constant in the rest of the archipelago.

Wind blowing from east - northeast in the easternmost islands and from the east in the rest of the Canary Islands.

On Monday, January 10th, Teide and the nearby area of Izana woke up covered in a thin layer of snow, marking the first snow of 2022 in Tenerife and in the Canary Islands as well.
